Cinema and comics, Fellini and Manara: an intense and fruitful dialogue between two great arts and two Italian masters. With a preface by Vincenzo Mollica and unpublished drawings by Fellini, the text tells the story of the mutual influences and intimate connections between these two different forms of expression, tracing an original portrait of Federico Fellini and Milo Manara. Federico Fellini, an avid illustrator since childhood, already known as a caricaturist, before starting his legendary film career, with the name "Fellas", met the provocative Milo Manara in 1985, a cult author of bizarre and spicy comics. Together they will give life to "Viaggio a Tulum" and "Il viaggio di G. Mastorna, detto Fernet". The two works are to be considered "failed films" by the director, which in some way fueled his cinematographic production, but which found form and life only in Manara's line. Their complex and troubled genesis is told to us through the words of their authors themselves and of those who were involved, first and foremost Vincenzo Mollica.
