Gazzetta dello Sport Guide Booklet - SPORTS according to POPE FRANCIS

"Sport according to Pope Francis" is a booklet published as a gift with La Gazzetta dello Sport on Saturday, April 26. It contains an exclusive interview given by the Pontiff in the residence of Casa Santa Marta in the Vatican, conducted by the director of the Gazzetta, Stefano Barigelli, by the deputy director Pier Bergonzi and with the collaboration of Don Marco Pozza, also author of the afterword.

The interview is developed around seven key words that summarize Pope Francis' thoughts on sport: loyalty , commitment , sacrifice , inclusion , team spirit , asceticism and redemption . Through these themes, the Pope talks about the profound values ​​of sport, with personal memories and reflections that intertwine moral, spiritual and sporting principles.

The volume has been defined as a sort of "secular encyclical" on sport, celebrating it as a tool for personal and social growth.
