FULLMOON:

Fullmoon Project is an Italian comic book miniseries, published between 1991 and 1992 by the Milanese publishing house "Eden - Center TV" (now defunct).

The series was conceived and created by a group of young authors from Brescia (Davide Longoni, Giancarlo Olivares, Mario Rossi, Gigi Simeoni, Stefano Vietti, Marco Febbrari and Fabio Pezzi).

Composed of seven self-contained albums, it is an example of an original creation that followed the standards proposed at the time by the products of the publisher Bonelli.

The main structure was made up of horror-fantasy stories, centered around detective plots: the investigations were conducted by a pair of agents, often in conflict with each other, belonging to a special FBI department based in San Francisco that dealt with unusual and inexplicable cases. The same formula was developed starting in 1993 by Chris Carter for the well-known television series X-Files.

The series ended unexpectedly with the seventh issue, with a dramatic ending not initially foreseen and left somewhat "open" for possible future revivals.

A few months later, the publishing house published monthly collections of unsold volumes, containing two issues each, with the title Il ritorno di Full Moon. The same group created, for the publishing house Star Comics, a comic "space opera" with the title Hammer.
