Who was Guido Crepax?
Guido Crepax (Milan, July 15, 1933 – Milan, July 31, 2003) was an Italian comics artist. He has deeply influenced the world of European erotic comics since the second half of the twentieth century. He is best known for his character Valentina, created in 1965 in the context of the sixties, characterized by sophisticated drawing and a psychedelic and dreamlike plot, usually with a strong dose of eroticism. Crepax's works have been translated in numerous countries, including France, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Japan, the United States, Finland and Greece.
