Mickey Mouse Stories: The New Disney Comic

Backpack on your shoulders, off to a new adventure! The new bimonthly series Le Storie di Topolino has officially arrived on Wednesday, April 16, an initiative by Panini Comics that will make the eyes of all lovers of the most famous Disney weekly ever shine.

What is “The Mickey Mouse Stories” ?

This is a collection in single volumes that offers some of the most beloved and acclaimed sagas of recent years originally published in Topolino . Each issue is entirely dedicated to a complete story, to be read in one breath, enriched by extra content: insights, curiosities, original sketches, character sheets and unpublished materials. In practice, a collector's gem designed both for the most loyal readers and for those who want to recover the great adventures without chasing a thousand albums!

It starts with… The Comet Islands

The first volume, already available, is dedicated to The Comet Islands , an exciting and mysterious saga originally published in Topolino from number 3607 to 3612 (January-February 2025). Written by Alex Bertani and Pietro B. Zemelo , and illustrated by Nico Picone , this adventure unfolds over 190 pages and takes us to the discovery of the enigmatic Rodent Archipelago , a group of islands in the South Seas where ancient maps, boats from other times and incredible secrets to be revealed intersect.

A coming-of-age story with a capital “B”, full of twists, seaplanes, memorable characters and dreamlike atmospheres, all made even richer thanks to special contents such as:

• The detailed map of the archipelago,
• Cards on means of transport used in history,
• Insights into the characters and behind-the-scenes footage of the production.

What's next? Upcoming releases

It doesn't end here! The Topolino Stories series is bimonthly, so every two months a new volume will arrive to keep us company. The next titles already announced are:

• June 2025 – The Corsair : a pirate story written by Vito Stabile and illustrated by Mario Ferracina , which promises rough seas, galleons and duels to the last cannon shot.
• August 2025 – The Prince of the Sands : set among dunes and enchanted deserts, it is signed by Alex Bertani and Francesco Vacca , with drawings by Giuseppe Facciotto .
