Celebrating Donald Duck's 90th Anniversary with Paperinik Castle

In 2024, to celebrate Donald Duck's 90th birthday, Panini Comics presents a special gadget: Paperinik's Castle . Attached to the weekly magazine "Topolino", this miniature model of the famous Disney superhero's hideout is perfect for collectors and fans.

The castle, designed down to the smallest details, is inspired by the legendary Castle of the Three Towers , the protagonist of numerous Paperinik comic book adventures. Designed by Alessandro Sisti and illustrated by Emmanuele Baccinelli, this model is not just a toy, but an authentic tribute to the history of the Masked Duck. The faithfulness to the details, such as the exclusive "fan" opening mechanism, the secret passages and the ghosts that light up in the dark, offers a nostalgic dive into the adventures of our hero.

Available at newsstands, the gadget is an affectionate tribute to one of the most beloved characters in the Disney world, enclosing the essence of his epic stories.

Paperinik's Castle was "designed" by Alessandro Sisti (who took care of the technical studies) and Emmanuele Baccinelli (who curated the artwork created to "dress the project", from the drawing to the textures of the exteriors and interiors) starting from the comic stories.

    Originally in ruins, it appears for the first time as a ghostly and abandoned ruin, located on the borders of the county of Duckburg, in Paperinik and the Castle of the Three Towers , signed by the great Master Guido Martina for the drawings of Massimo De Vita, published for the first time in 1972 in Topolino 875 and 876.

  • ...new characters

    "We will see two characters who are now an integral part of the "cast" of this series. The first is Red Duckan , the unscrupulous tycoon who pursues his goals while being careful to respect the law. The second is Lieutenant Sheriduck , enemy-friend of the Avenger who, while not approving of certain behaviors of the Masked Duck", comments Marco Gervasio.

  • ...secret passages

    Standing 25 centimetres tall, the Castle is made up of three openable, playable floors full of details: a secret passage in the main hall and a trapdoor to the dungeons, snap-action and glow-in-the-dark ghosts, a drawbridge and opening door as well as various characters who often hang around the castle!
