La Storia Censurata di Topolino: Quando Mickey Sposò una Strega!

Mickey Mouse's Censored History: When Mickey Married a Witch!

In the annals of Mickey Mouse stories, there is one that has become a true legend, almost forgotten, buried in the folds of a universe that does not tolerate too many changes. Did you know that Mickey Mouse, our hero always impeccable and loyal, had a forbidden adventure? A story so controversial that Disney itself decided to delete it from its official canon? I present to you the mysterious Mickey Mouse N° 1785 , published on February 11, 1990.

This story, never reprinted, is inspired by the classic film "I Married a Witch" , but with one small, big difference: Mickey, who we all know for his eternal loyalty to Minnie, falls in love with... a witch! Yes, you read that right. In a spell that turns his world upside down, Mickey finds himself involved in a forbidden love affair with a witch named Samantha. Their union is opposed by the girl's father, also a wizard, who tries to dissuade them with a spell that simulates a disastrous marriage, and, as expected, things go horribly.

The turning point? A controversial cartoon in which Mickey and the witch, now married, prepare for their wedding night. No explicit scenes, but an allusion that unleashed a real uproar! We are not talking about an ordinary episode: the entire story, set in a parallel universe created by the spell, seemed to break one of the most sacred rules of the Disney world. None of its main characters can get married! For this reason, Disney decided to make the story disappear from its official chronology.

In an act of true "witch hunt", all original copies were withdrawn from the market and destroyed. What remains today are only a handful of rare issues. Not worth a fortune, but certainly a true enthusiast's gem.

And you, have you ever heard of the "forbidden story of Mickey Mouse"? Take a look in the attic, you might have a treasure hidden between the pages of an old issue of Mickey Mouse. Who knows, maybe in a few years it will be one of those collector's items worth a fortune!
